A little while ago, I participated in a Layout tag for a Facebook Group called CROP CIRCLES. Layout tag is a challenge whereby the host takes a lo and uses it to create a lo of their own. The host then sends their completed lo to the first person on the list via e-mail. That person in turn makes a lo based on the hosts lo and then the next person on the list gets it. Then person #2 makes a lo based on person #1’s lo without seeing any previous layouts. And it goes on until it reaches the last person on the list. At the end, the host posts all the layouts and we can see the difference from the original layout until the final one. Its fun to see the reveal and to see how much it changes….this is a pic of the lo I recieved via e-mail done by CROP CIRCLE member Cora Lee:
and here is the LO I completed and e-mailed to the next person in the tag list:
I made this LO from the Paperie September kit and some washi tape…I’ve done a lot of LO’s using that kit…and I still have some stuff left over! Here is a close up of the journaling and misting. The mask is Studio Calico Circle graph and its my favourite stencil EVER!!!! I have the stamp too!!! The star is a diecut from my Silhouette! Love that arrow stamp from My Minds Eye!!
Here is a close up of the misting and the goosebumps I used to create the look of waterdrops! Love that Stuff! My friend Cathie adds paint and glitter to hers to create some awesome effects on a LO!
And here you can see how awesome that arrow stamp is!
Here is a close up of the GOOSEBUMPS!
Here is a close up of the sticker letters that came with the kit. So I did not like the color of the letters and I wanted black ones so I INKED THEM WITH STAZ ON!!! Alternatively you could use embossing powder to cover them up too. Love doing this to make my letters match!
Here is a close up of the “lift” tab where I placed my hidden journaling (and an embarassing pic I’m shortly going to share).
As you can see very easy to make. I actually have the Basic Grey magnets under the papers to keep it closed.
Love the Ali Edwards stamps “Life is full of ups and downs” was perfect for this LO!
I will have some sneaks of what I’m working on in the next post!
Have a great day!
